The San Benito County Office of Education and United Way of San Benito County have teamed up once again this year to drive another successful Stuff the Buss fundraiser to help our local youth in need. Education Recruitment Fair on May 12th

The San Benito County Office of Education Employee Recruitment Fair will be May 12th from 10:00- 1:00 at San Benito High School Cafeteria, 1220 Monterey Street Hollister, Ca. The County Office and our districts are excited to meet you! We have amazing districts with competitive salary schedules.

 

The San Benito County Office of Education will be providing an opportunity for those seeking teaching (including psychologists, counselors, school nurses, speech language pathologists, etc.), certificated/ classified management and classified positions to meet with those who hire staff in our local countywide districts.

 

San Benito County is a great place to live away from the hustle and bustle of bigger cities!

We are nestled in the coastal range mountains of California just south of San Jose and east of Monterey, where housing is still affordable. Surrounded by beautiful country, we offer recreation and outdoor activities, wine tasting, quaint shops, live music venues, casual and fine dining, and so much more.

 

Candidates are encouraged to register though it is not mandatory. Pre-registered candidates will be entered for a chance to win a door prize

Participants be sure to come prepared! Make sure to bring multiple application packets that include a letter of introduction, resume, letters of recommendation, and copies of your credentials (if applicable). Districts will interview candidates the day of the fair with many hiring on the spot.

2018 County Art Showcase

The San Benito County Office of Education hosts the 2018 Arts Showcase for K-12 Students.

Entry Criteria:

  • Open to Pre-Kindergarten to 12th Grade students in San Benito County
    • Class entries need to be a variety of at least three different presentations, avoid all entries having the same image
  • Artwork categories:
    • 2D Art (i.e. painting, drawing, mixed-media)- no larger than 11”x14”, artwork may be framed, unframed or mounted on cardstock
    • 3D Art (i.e. sculpture, ceramics, mixed-media)- no larger than 12”x12”
    • Literary Art (fiction, nonfiction, poetry)-  1 page 8.5”x11”, mounted on cardstock
    • Students may submit 1 entry per category
  • All entries must be submitted to the San Benito County Office of Education @ 460 Fifth Street by 4:15 PM, February 9th. Late entries will not be accepted!
  • San Benito Arts Council will be selecting a variety of exhibits to display at their Arts Now Breakfast in February, all other entries may be removed by the class/ parent designee on the night of the 15th from 7:00-7:30, otherwise picked up at the county office by the 23.
  • NEW! Teachers are invited to submit up to 5 photos that capture students participating in art activities to be part of this year’s video presentation. Please send photos to info@sanbenitoarts.org
