Teacher Induction University Credit

SBCOE is dedicated to providing a rigorous and robust Induction experience that deserves recognition at a graduate level. Participating Teachers and Induction Coaches are able to earn graduate level credits through University of the Pacific's Benerd College. Registration is available to all current (ongoing) and past participants.

Advance student learning by providing an interactive induction program that supports and retains new teachers as they grow in their profession and transform into life-long, reflective practitioners.

Our Vision

  • Develop and retain highly qualified teachers in San Benito County schools
  • Create ongoing reflective inquiry habits
  • Alleviate isolation new teachers experience (transition)
  • Collaborate with others
  • Seek opportunities to grow professionally
  • Develop the skills, confidence and knowledge to educate and address the needs of all students
  • Through a reflective, inquiry-based manner, learn to effectively teach California's adopted standards and frameworks to students in grades TK-12
