Human Resources
Welcome
SBCOE's Human Resources Department provides services to all County certificated, management and classified personnel, in addition to serving as the Human Resources contact for the seven rural schools within San Benito County. The department coordinates and monitors employment for the county programs, substitutes, evaluations, fingerprinting, benefits, payroll, employee assignments and credentialing. As a County Office, we also work closely with the school districts within San Benito County to provide assistance with credentialing and are responsible for the coordination and completion of yearly assignment monitoring.
Our Mission
The SBCOE Human Resources staff understands how valuable a resource our employees are and work to recruit, develop and maintain high quality staff who are focused on student success.

Become a Substitute
Being a substitute has many advantages. You are an at will employee meaning you work when you want. It is also a great way to learn if teaching or working in a school environment is right for you before committing to obtaining a credential and it is a perfect way to get your foot in the door by meeting staff and administrators as you work in different areas of the County.
