Behavioral Intervention Support

Our Mission

The mission of the Behavior Support Department at the San Benito County Office of Education is to work together with educators, families, and the community to create supportive, inclusive environments that honor the well-being and dignity of every student.

Behavior Support Services

San Benito County Behavior Support Services provides behavioral consultation, collaboration, and support to students and their individual education plan team members.  While the primary point of contact for behavior is our Director, Behavior Intervention Support Michelle Romo, other County and SELPA staff such as our Director, Prevention and Intervention, Amber Lister, Program Specialists, Mental Health Providers, and other professional staff also collaborate on cases involving challenging behavior.

Professional development opportunities in the domain of behavior analysis occur regularly throughout the school year, and specific trainings and workshops may be provided on request of district administrators. To find out more about behavior-related offerings, please visit the Professional Learning catalog.

Parents and care providers can access behavior supports through workshops offered through the Community Advisory Committee (CAC).
