Community Schools

At San Benito County Office of Education, we believe that ALL schools can be full service community schools. Our County Community Schools and Partnership team is here to support the sustainable implementation of the community schools strategy across our county through the CCSPP Grant.

The California Community School Partnership Program (CCSPP) Grant intends to establish and expand Community Schools across California. A community school utilizes the whole-child approach to assess and address student, family, and community needs. It becomes the heart of the neighborhood by recognizing the strengths in our community, strengthening participation in schools, and bringing resources to help students, families, and communities thrive! Envisioning schools as hubs for the surrounding community, this transformative strategy is asset-driven, engages shared decision-making, and embraces accountability and continuous improvement through school site advisory councils.
