Why Talk. Read. Sing? 90% of a child's brain is developed during the first 5 years of life. More than 80% of the brain is developed by the time a child is 3 years old AND research shows that the first 3 months of life are one of the most important interaction times for emotional development. Did you know that there are more children in the 0 to 5 year old range in California than any other state in our nation and the vast majority of these children who are behind at ages 3, 4, and 5 and then in kindergarten, will never catch up.
