The San Benito County Science Fair will be held at the Veterans’ Memorial Building, 649, San Benito Street, Hollister CA.
DATES AND TIMES:
Wednesday, March 21 Entry forms must be received by Charles Oles at San
Andreas HS, 191 Alvarado St. Forms must include name, grade, teacher, school, and category. A duplicate form must be attached to the back of the project.
Monday, March 26 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Projects must be dropped off at the
Veterans’ Memorial Building by this time. Judging begins at 6 PM
Tuesday, March 27 9:00 A.M. Judging (if needed)
6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Open House
7:15 P.M. to 7:45 P.M. Awards Assembly
After Assembly Removal of projects
Wednesday, March 28 8:00 A.M. to Noon Removal of projects
AWARDS:
Please note awards will be given to individual experiments only!!
Grades 4 and up must enter experimental projects which incorporate the scientific method.
All participants will receive a certificate. Special awards will be given by local agencies and businesses. Trophies for first, second, and third places will be awarded in each of the seven categories for the junior division (Grades 4-5) and the intermediate division (Grades 6-8). Senior division entries (Grades 9-12) will also be eligible for trophies. Due to size limitations, K-3rd will not be displayed. There is no Invention Convention category this year.
Please give a copy of the School Science Fair Winners letter to all students whose projects are selected to go to the San Benito County Science Fair.
